BY EQ ("BY EQ", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website byeq.net and provides software design and development services, including web, mobile, and desktop applications. We also operate communication products, including LastRing, an AI-powered call answering and text messaging service that responds to calls and text messages on behalf of the businesses that use it.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to visitors of our website, to businesses that engage our services, and to end consumers who call or text a business that uses one of our products.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Contact and inquiry information. When you contact us through our website forms, by email, by phone, or through messaging apps, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.
• Business client information. When a business engages our services, we collect the information needed to set up and manage the engagement, such as billing details, business phone numbers, and service configuration.
• Communications data. When an end consumer calls or texts a business that uses LastRing, we collect the consumer's phone number, the content of the messages exchanged, and message timestamps. Where the caller reached an AI-answered line, we also collect the call audio, call recordings, and call transcripts. This data is collected on behalf of, and under the instructions of, the business the consumer contacted.
• Usage data. We collect information about how our website is used, such as pages visited, approximate location, browser type, and device information, through analytics tools and cookies.

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, and maintain our services and products;
• respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
• deliver, route, and respond to calls and text messages on behalf of the businesses that use our products;
• improve and secure our services and prevent fraud and abuse;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

This section applies to text messages (SMS/MMS) sent and received through our services, including messages sent through LastRing on behalf of a business you contacted.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies. You may receive messages in response to your contact with a business, including appointment confirmations, reminders, and replies to your questions.

Rates. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help. You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at contact@byeq.net.

What we collect through SMS and voice. When you text or call a business that uses our services, we collect your phone number, the content of your messages, and message timestamps. Where you reached an AI-answered line, we also collect the call audio, call recordings, and call transcripts. This information is retained for [RETENTION — CONFIRM] and is then deleted or anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law or requested by the business you contacted.

Consumer rights for callers and texters. If you called or texted a business that uses LastRing and you do not have an account with us, you can still request access to, or deletion of, the data we hold about your conversation by emailing contact@byeq.net. Please note that the business you contacted is the controller of that conversation data; we act as a processor on that business's behalf, and we may refer your request to that business or ask it to confirm the request before we act on it.

Where consent comes from. Consumers receive text messages through our services only after contacting a business directly (by call or text) or otherwise providing consent to that business. We do not purchase, rent, or upload third-party contact lists.

We do not sell personal information. Mobile phone numbers, text messaging originator opt-in data, and SMS consent are expressly excluded from any sharing described in this section — see SMS / Text Messaging Privacy above. We share other information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We use vendors that help us operate our services, such as cloud hosting, database infrastructure, analytics, and telecommunications providers and aggregators that deliver messages. These providers may process information only to perform services for us.
• The business you contacted. If you call or text a business that uses our products, the content of that conversation is made available to that business — it is their conversation with you.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BY EQ, our clients, or the public.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We retain contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and business client information for the duration of the engagement plus any period required for legal, accounting, or tax purposes.

Message content, call audio, call recordings, and call transcripts collected through LastRing are retained for [RETENTION — CONFIRM], after which they are deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required by law or by the business on whose behalf the data was collected.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we process, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege access for our staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@byeq.net. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

BY EQ operates from Jordan and serves clients internationally, including in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Information we collect may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, including countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through our website or, where appropriate, directly to affected businesses.
